MCN Road Tester Adam Child is currently just outside Barcelona putting the latest crop of middleweight supersport bikes up against each other in an epic race track shoot-out.
It couldn't be simpler- All of the bikes are on controlled tyres and track settings to keep things fair, so the bike that puts in the quickest lap is honoured as the fastest 600 on track.
The Yamaha R6 may have won last year, but this time around it has some steep competition in the form of the new ABS Honda CBR600RR, revised Kawasaki ZX-6R and the latest incarnations of the Suzuki GSX-R600 and Triumph Daytona 675.
To read the full test and find out which 600 is crowned king of the track for 2009, pick up the February 4th issue of MCN.
